Foul Ball? 3-Strikes Rule Being Challenged, Dissected
Orlando trial lawyer Scott McMillen has created a buzz by challenging Florida's 3-strikes medical malpractice rule.
McMillen has filed a medical liability lawsuit to challenge the 2004 constitutional amendment, set in motion with a 2005 law that raised the standard for a medical malpractice strike from "preponderance of evidence" to "clear and convincing evidence." He said the law makes it too difficult for a physician to be popped with a violation. LYNNE JETER |

Transparency: It's Clear Pharmacists, PBM Associations Caught in Contentious Debate On the face of it, both the Pharmaceutical Care Management Association (PCMA) and the National Community Pharmacists Association (NCPA) "strongly support" the principle of transparency within the pharmaceutical industry. Adult-Acquired Flatfoot Syndrome Adult-acquired flatfoot is a challenging condition to treat. It is defined as a symptomatic, progressive deformity of the foot caused by loss of supportive structures of the medial arch. It is becoming increasingly frequent with the aging population and the obesity epidemic. Patients commonly try to lose weight by exercising to improve the condition. This often leads to worsening of symptoms and progression of the disorder. Early recognition of this complex disorder is essential, if chronic pain and surgery are to be avoided. Dr. Daniel L.
